Sheelytown is a historical fiction released in September 2022.  Based on true events, it tells of one Polish girl’s life as she struggles to survive and build a family in Sheelytown, an infamous ethnic town within the city of Omaha in the early 1900s… built to support the burgeoning meatpacking industry.  Follow her through her initial romance, allegiance to family, lost friendships, marriages, and even deaths. Similar to an old wild west town, Sheelytown attracted honest hardworking men and women from Eastern Europe yet also drew in schemers, swindlers, and undesirables.  It was a different world for Polish immigrants yet they helped build Omaha into the nation’s largest meatpacking center in the 1950s.
